Learn how to take your students through a deep restorative practice with our Restorative Yoga Teacher Training led by a pioneer in the field of Yoga Therapy. Slow it down, soothe the nervous system and foster a practice of mindfulness.
Cora Wen: Art and Science of Restorative Yoga Teacher Training is designed for those interested in expanding their practice and learning how to teach Restorative Yoga. Courses will focus on therapeutic applications, observing the body for misalignment, finding ways to support the student and addressing specific issues anatomically.
• Observing the body and an overview of the nervous system
• Relaxation response and why restorative yoga works
• Use of additional props and proper blanket folding
• Back and front body focus of poses and savasana variations
• Proper use of language to assist in the relaxation process
• Restorative backbends, twists, and inversions
• How to sequence a restorative practice centered around specific issues

**For Teacher Trainees: Required Student Assessment: Trainees will be required to create lesson plans for specific issues and themes. Lessons will be demonstrated on students to show the trainees’ understanding and ability to apply this knowledge in a constructive manner. Trainees will leave the course feeling confident in teaching Restorative Yoga
